Dr. Thodoara Fynn is a highly accomplished, board-certified Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine specialist currently practicing at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake in Bel Air, Maryland. With extensive expertise in managing complex respiratory and critically ill patients, Dr. Fynn brings a wealth of clinical experience, leadership, and dedication to advancing patient care.
Dr. Fynn completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Howard University. She further pursued specialized training in Sleep Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds board certification in Sleep Medicine through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She is also an active member of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Fynn is deeply committed to medical education and global health. She serves as a Board Member of the Uzima Foundation and is actively involved with the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation (GPSF), where she contributes to organizing continuing medical education conferences in both Ghana and North America.
Her dedication to advancing healthcare in Ghana is evident through her involvement in postgraduate sub-specialty training at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. Through virtual teaching platforms, she mentors Internal Medicine residents and Pulmonary Fellows, ensuring access to advanced medical education and fostering the next generation of specialists.
